We booked Cress Lakes for our wedding in July 2025 and from the first moment that we met Georgie and Leigh 18 months before our big day, we knew they were going to help us have the best day! It is a family run business with the most gorgeous outdoor venue, they helped us turn our festival-style Tipi wedding into a reality. The whole team at Cress Lake are just the nicest people and they were there every step of the way for us. They really made us feel like we were a special day for them too, and we started to feel part of the family. The tipi itself was incredible, and we could decorate it however we wanted. And the lakes and grounds are perfect if you are looking for an outdoor, scenic wedding vibe. We truly can't recommend them highly enough, thank you so much to the whole team at Cress Lakes for the best day of our lives!!

We truly had the wedding of our dreams at Cress Lake.
This venue is for you if you want an idyllic place immersed in nature, but with all the amenities to make the most memorable party. We really enjoyed how we were able to shape the day based on our tastes and vision in mind and how the venue and contact with the owners didn’t feel transactional - we truly felt like the place was ours for the weekend!
We would like to thank the Cress Lake team again who helped us throughout the entire journey and also were flawless on the day making sure everything ran smoothly.

Having been a local resident for over ten years, we were both surprised and delighted to learn of this hidden gem just a stone’s throw away. The venue itself is lush, green and natural with simple, defined pathways and discretely added ‘comfort’ features (toilets, bar etc.). The staff are incredibly friendly, flexible and helpful - nothing is too much to ask. They helped in every aspect of our special day and remained jolly and efficient throughout the afternoon and long into the evening. We were fortunate enough to have glorious weather which only added to the already astonishing setting. Our guests constantly described it as “the best wedding I’ve attended” and our only regret is that (hopefully) we only get to do it once! We would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a unique and different wedding experience – you will not be sorry.

Amazing venue and hosts!!!
From our first meeting with Ben and Georgie it just felt so right. We quickly knew that they would be able to bring our vision of the perfect wedding day to life and they absolutely nailed it.
The team, including Sam and Leigh, were so accommodating and flexible, allowing our extensive input, ideas and hands on creativity, without any issue.
Always super responsive to communication, happy to allow a number of site visits in preparation of the big day, and showed such commitment and energy to ensure our celebration was perfect in every way.
We've had so many amazing comments from our guests, with many saying it was the best wedding they have ever attended. The Cress Lake team worked tirelessly to ensure that we had an amazing day from start to finish.
Stunning setting, with a natural and organic feel that captured our vision perfectly.
We can't recommend Cress Lake highly enough, as they absolutely delivered on all our hopes and vision of the big day.
