Welcome to Cress Lake and our beautiful lakeside Tipi wedding venue.
Located in Bourne End, Hertfordshire, just off the A41 and 10 minutes from Junction 21 on the M25.
Cress Lake provides a stunning Tipi venue suitable for up to 120 seated guests. We offer exclusive use of our venue for you to create a truly bespoke wedding experience – just hire the venue and create your own unique day.
Although most suited to wedding receptions, the venue can also be hired for private parties and corporate events.

Even the little things you’ve not thought about yet. We sort out all the basics so you can work on planning your wedding to be the moment of a lifetime.
Exclusively yours for the wedding day, we provide the venue and associated infrastructure to make it work - Tipis, power, toilets, water, furniture, lighting and most importantly the bar – and you organise the rest – in short, the food, the decoration and the music!
Best of all, we offer you the flexibility to choose your own catering supplier and the opportunity to create a truly unique occasion.
Our Story
In 2015, our family acquired Cress Lakes and has been run as fishing venue. However, the beauty and tranquility of the lakes and surrounding land became a major talking point and continually friends and family requested about hosting events here. From 2018 we hosted a few small weddings and special occasions which have all been a great success and spoken about years afterwards.
In 2021, two of our founders, Ben & Georgie tied the knot here themselves and allowed us to showcase the great venue we have to offer with a fantastic Tipi wedding. This has given us the confidence to pursue our dream of hosting more great events for you!
During this time, we forged great relationships with our recommended suppliers, in particular our tipi provider, Tipis4Hire. Whilst we have our list of brilliant suppliers in the local area, Cress Lakes is best suited to a couple who want to put their own stamp on things with freedom to make it as unique as possible.
